Yellow Deli in Courtenay

When you enter the Yellow Deli, you might find yourself reliving some ancient memories of an era long gone. Built in the early 1920s, this house has welcomed many home through its doors and has remained much the same over the years.

In 2005, we purchased this home with the intent of opening a cafe. After much restoration and very unique changes, we opened our doors to the public in 2010. Today, almost a hundred years later, you can still see the original windows and front door adorning our cafe.

Inside, all of the decor is made from recycled materials gathered locally in the Comox Valley. We have used beach driftwood, original hand-hewn beams and weathered barn wood to create an atmosphere unlike any other, built with the care and love of the One who created us in His image.

We hope that you, like many others will feel like you have come home when you enter our doors. All of us who work here live together and together we want to provide you with something that is harder and harder to find - true wholesome food. While not strictly organic, we strive to provide you with quality wholesome food at an affordable price in an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and nourishing to the soul.

It continues to be a pleasure to serve our local friends and neighbours and we extend a warm welcome to travelers who have come to visit Courtenay.

Thank you for joining us!
